Steve Cook

Steve is Senior Assistant Headteacher at Formby High School in Merseyside, leading on the development of teaching and learning, CPD, transition and community partnerships. He was Director of Performing Arts College for over ten years, enabling him to draw upon his Advanced Skills Teacher and Lead Practitioner experience to develop, promote and embed the best pedagogy – fusing the academic and practical nature of high-quality music education to enhance the classroom experience. 

 

His accolades include Artsmark Platinum, Music for Youth and TES Creative School of the Year 2016. 

 

Steve maintains his strong commitment to developing vocal music in directing two award winning school and community choirs (Mundo Afrika and G:Force Gospel Choir). He has delivered conference keynotes and training for Sing Up, the UK Choir Festival and SSAT and supports music teacher training across the North West. He also chairs the Sefton LCEP, spearheading a wide range of area-wide projects and CPD.
