Cathy Phillips Brady
Cathy is a specialist in cultural participation, partnership building and strategic development. She has worked in the UK with organisations including British Council, Royal Opera House, Wigmore Hall, Gabrieli Consort, London Youth Choir and Britten Sinfonia; as well as internationally, on the board of the European Music Council and youth committee for the European Choral Association.
Cathy started out as a secondary music teacher, and is passionate about music education, accessibility and equity. She is a Trustee for Concerto Caledonia, a Clore Leader, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Fellow of the Global Leaders Institute for music for social impact. She heads up Music Development at University of Glasgow and freelances as a consultant in music education development and evaluation.
Cathy still manages to perform professionally as a choral singer with consorts and session work. She lives in Scotland, is neurodivergent and loves cats.
