Sooree Pillay

Sooree trained in theatre, performance and community drama. Over the course of her career, she has worked across a broad range of art-forms, with children and young people, supporting artists individually and through residencies, and producing projects and festival programmes at New Art Exchange, Sampad South Asían Arts and Heritage, and Inspirate. She joined Orchestras Live in 2021 as Regional Producer - Midlands, and manages a portfolio of partner projects and initiatives committed to improving access to life long inspirational musical experiences for all. She represents the organisation as informal lead group n Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, something she is passionate about.

At the heart of Sooree’s practice is the belief that the arts should be accessible to everyone, that it has the potential to significantly enrich our cultural lives, better our mental health and well-being, and is a window for all to explore historical legacy and contemporary perspectives in society.
