Craig West

Craig is a Freelance Consultant and Cultural Strategist with over 25 years of work spanning performance and education. Through strategic leadership, creative practice, and cultural insight, Craig helps organisations develop their vision, empower their people, and bring meaningful ideas to life. As an accredited Coach, Craig is dedicated to supporting individuals in their work, lives, and personal development.

 

After holding senior roles in professional orchestras and concert halls, including Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Sage Gateshead (now Glasshouse ICM), RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and London Sinfonietta, Craig joined the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain overseeing all Orchestra activities, the equity programme NYO Inspire and the open-access programme NYO Open. Craig now works as a Freelance Consultant with clients including London Schools Symphony Orchestra, National Children's Orchestras, Appalachian Chamber Music Festival and Figurative Philanthropy for Arts and Culture. In addition to being a Trustee of the Music Education Council, Craig is a Governor of the North East Music Hub and Chair of the Board for Musici Ireland.
